This recipe was completely a DIY job that ended up becoming a regular meal prep item for me because it tasted so good! I use it to make chilli (mix it in with some heavy cream or coconut milk 👌) and it also makes for a great pizza sauce (for those low carb cauliflower pizza days, or my latest discovery – Meatza!! That recipe will be up next week 😉 ).
Essentially it was the usual criteria – low carb, gluten free, sugar free and in this case I also wanted to stay away from tomato puree as I haven’t come across one I like the ingredients of yet. Plus tomatoes are carby enough (relatively speaking) without using a concentrate form of them. And so I came up with this, a single batch is only 6g carbs – try and find a pizza sauce that can beat that! 😀
Anyways, I’m rambling, sauce is sauce what else can I say except.. Enjoy!
