On starting my recent journey into intermittent fasting I’ve found that it’s actually not as difficult as I thought it’d be not to eat ALL the time. In fact I’ve found I actually don’t need everything I was eating previously, two main meals a day along with the occasional homemade indulgences in between (if I couldn’t still eat the good stuff I wouldn’t be doing it :p) and I’m good to go.
However before I took this dive into health and nutrition my go to drink at any coffee shop was a Mocha. Which, of course, is essentially caffeinated hot chocolate.. Mmmm. Now I obviously refuse to order that now, what with it being over 300+ empty calories and enough sugar to create a tsunami in my blood sugar levels, so I thought I’d try to find a way to make one that’s low carb while still tasting gooood – and this is the result. (It’s also got a decent amount of fat in it as I’m working on getting into ketosis atm)
Now bare in mind this is deliberately labelled take 1 because I know for sure with a little more experimentation I’ll eventually stumble upon the “Ultimate Low Carb Keto Friendly Dark Chocolate Mochachino” but for now, this is the winner! 🙂
